Lakeview (northeast) is a neighbourhood of Oshawa, in the Greater Toronto Area. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,624 living in private households. 26.3% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 55.2% across the Greater Toronto Area as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 15.6%. 66.3% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 7.4% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 15.6% of the population, compared with 45.1% citywide. Median household income before tax was $56,400 in 2020, compared with $199,000 for the Greater Toronto Area. 77.8% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.16 km², giving a population density of 3,999 people per square kilometre (the Greater Toronto Area averages about 920).
