The Valleys of Thornhill is a neighbourhood of Vaughan, in the Greater Toronto Area. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 9,979 living in private households. 36.4% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 55.2% across the Greater Toronto Area as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 17.1%. 63.5% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 0.2% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 50.1% of the population, compared with 45.1% citywide. Median household income before tax was $141,000 in 2020, compared with $199,000 for the Greater Toronto Area. 15.8% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 4.21 km², giving a population density of 2,369 people per square kilometre (the Greater Toronto Area averages about 920).
