Oak Ridges (west-northwest) is a neighbourhood of Richmond Hill, in the Greater Toronto Area. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,648 living in private households. 51.9% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 55.2% across the Greater Toronto Area as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 17.6%. 47.8% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 0.3% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 51.2% of the population, compared with 45.1% citywide. Median household income before tax was $122,000 in 2020, compared with $199,000 for the Greater Toronto Area. 15.0% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 2.14 km², giving a population density of 2,176 people per square kilometre (the Greater Toronto Area averages about 920).
