Liverpool (south-southeast) is a neighbourhood of Pickering, in the Greater Toronto Area. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,860 living in private households. 37.4% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 55.2% across the Greater Toronto Area as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 11.3%. 62.3% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 0.5% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 37.0% of the population, compared with 45.1% citywide. Median household income before tax was $81,000 in 2020, compared with $199,000 for the Greater Toronto Area. 24.4% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.50 km², giving a population density of 3,243 people per square kilometre (the Greater Toronto Area averages about 920).
