Fairport is a neighbourhood of Pickering, in the Greater Toronto Area. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 3,828 living in private households. 40.8% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 55.2% across the Greater Toronto Area as a whole; the largest single group was South Asian at 14.0%. 57.4% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.6% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 31.0% of the population, compared with 45.1% citywide. Median household income before tax was $90,000 in 2020, compared with $199,000 for the Greater Toronto Area. 27.4% of households rented rather than owned.
