Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (east-northeast) is a neighbourhood of Vaughan, in the Greater Toronto Area. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 7,466 living in private households. 63.8% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 55.2% across the Greater Toronto Area as a whole; the largest single group was South Asian at 17.0%. 35.7% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 0.4% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 45.9% of the population, compared with 45.1% citywide. Median household income before tax was $75,500 in 2020, compared with $199,000 for the Greater Toronto Area. 56.1% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 29.73 km², giving a population density of 251 people per square kilometre (the Greater Toronto Area averages about 920).
