New Tecumseth (northwest 4) is a neighbourhood of New Tecumseth, in the Greater Toronto Area. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,979 living in private households. 28.8% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 55.2% across the Greater Toronto Area as a whole; the largest single group was South Asian at 7.6%. 70.0% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.2% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 20.9% of the population, compared with 45.1% citywide. Median household income before tax was $119,000 in 2020, compared with $199,000 for the Greater Toronto Area. 9.0% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.49 km², giving a population density of 3,345 people per square kilometre (the Greater Toronto Area averages about 920).
