Mount Pleasant (northeast 2) is a neighbourhood of Brampton, in the Greater Toronto Area. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 2,727 living in private households. 75.8% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 55.2% across the Greater Toronto Area as a whole; the largest single group was South Asian at 45.3%. 23.1% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.1% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 53.3% of the population, compared with 45.1% citywide. Median household income before tax was $130,000 in 2020, compared with $199,000 for the Greater Toronto Area. 8.1% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.88 km², giving a population density of 3,114 people per square kilometre (the Greater Toronto Area averages about 920).
