Yongehurst (north-northeast) is a neighbourhood of Richmond Hill, in the Greater Toronto Area. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,294 living in private households. 53.4% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 55.2% across the Greater Toronto Area as a whole; the largest single group was West Asian at 20.5%. 46.5% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 0.0% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 62.9% of the population, compared with 45.1% citywide. Median household income before tax was $75,500 in 2020, compared with $199,000 for the Greater Toronto Area. 21.5% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.07 km², giving a population density of 4,032 people per square kilometre (the Greater Toronto Area averages about 920).
