Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (south-southwest) is a neighbourhood of Vaughan, in the Greater Toronto Area. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,282 living in private households. 24.5% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 55.2% across the Greater Toronto Area as a whole; the largest single group was South Asian at 6.4%. 75.5% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 0.0% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 46.4% of the population, compared with 45.1% citywide. Median household income before tax was $123,000 in 2020, compared with $199,000 for the Greater Toronto Area. 7.7% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 7.05 km², giving a population density of 607 people per square kilometre (the Greater Toronto Area averages about 920).
