Scarborough Southwest (southeast) is a neighbourhood of Toronto, in the Greater Toronto Area. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 2,008 living in private households. 27.2% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 55.2% across the Greater Toronto Area as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 9.9%. 70.5% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 2.0% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 25.8% of the population, compared with 45.1% citywide. Median household income before tax was $65,000 in 2020, compared with $199,000 for the Greater Toronto Area. 66.1% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.65 km², giving a population density of 3,098 people per square kilometre (the Greater Toronto Area averages about 920).
