Richvale (north-northeast) is a neighbourhood of Richmond Hill, in the Greater Toronto Area. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 8,657 living in private households. 73.1% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 55.2% across the Greater Toronto Area as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 26.5%. 26.4% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 0.4% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 62.3% of the population, compared with 45.1% citywide. Median household income before tax was $75,500 in 2020, compared with $199,000 for the Greater Toronto Area. 33.2% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.89 km², giving a population density of 9,716 people per square kilometre (the Greater Toronto Area averages about 920).
