Port Lands (west-northwest) is a neighbourhood of Toronto, in the Greater Toronto Area. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 11,144 living in private households. 44.3% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 55.2% across the Greater Toronto Area as a whole; the largest single group was Chinese at 10.1%. 54.5% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.2% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 33.6% of the population, compared with 45.1% citywide. Median household income before tax was $95,000 in 2020, compared with $199,000 for the Greater Toronto Area. 47.8% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.64 km², giving a population density of 17,533 people per square kilometre (the Greater Toronto Area averages about 920).
