Pickering Beach (northwest) is a neighbourhood of Ajax, in the Greater Toronto Area. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,123 living in private households. 44.0% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 55.2% across the Greater Toronto Area as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 15.6%. 54.5% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.5% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 35.6% of the population, compared with 45.1% citywide. Median household income before tax was $73,500 in 2020, compared with $199,000 for the Greater Toronto Area. 50.1% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.61 km², giving a population density of 6,777 people per square kilometre (the Greater Toronto Area averages about 920).
