Parkdale is a neighbourhood of Toronto, in the Greater Toronto Area. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 6,957 living in private households. 47.7% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 55.2% across the Greater Toronto Area as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 14.5%. 50.3% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 2.0% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 37.5% of the population, compared with 45.1% citywide. Median household income before tax was $66,000 in 2020, compared with $199,000 for the Greater Toronto Area. 73.7% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.38 km², giving a population density of 18,434 people per square kilometre (the Greater Toronto Area averages about 920).
