Etobicoke Centre is a neighbourhood of Toronto, in the Greater Toronto Area. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 5,963 living in private households. 69.2% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 55.2% across the Greater Toronto Area as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 41.1%. 30.5% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 0.4% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 49.8% of the population, compared with 45.1% citywide. Median household income before tax was $61,200 in 2020, compared with $199,000 for the Greater Toronto Area. 58.6% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.81 km², giving a population density of 7,402 people per square kilometre (the Greater Toronto Area averages about 920).
