Eastdale (west-northwest) is a neighbourhood of Oshawa, in the Greater Toronto Area. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 3,310 living in private households. 19.8% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 55.2% across the Greater Toronto Area as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 7.1%. 75.9% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 4.2% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 19.4% of the population, compared with 45.1% citywide. Median household income before tax was $96,000 in 2020, compared with $199,000 for the Greater Toronto Area. 16.9% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.97 km², giving a population density of 3,420 people per square kilometre (the Greater Toronto Area averages about 920).
