Bronte (south-southwest) is a neighbourhood of Oakville, in the Greater Toronto Area. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 4,234 living in private households. 38.2% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 55.2% across the Greater Toronto Area as a whole; the largest single group was South Asian at 10.7%. 61.0% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 0.8% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 41.5% of the population, compared with 45.1% citywide. Median household income before tax was $155,000 in 2020, compared with $199,000 for the Greater Toronto Area. 12.1% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 1.45 km², giving a population density of 2,923 people per square kilometre (the Greater Toronto Area averages about 920).
