Bronte (north-northeast 1) is a neighbourhood of Oakville, in the Greater Toronto Area. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 2,943 living in private households. 29.7% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 55.2% across the Greater Toronto Area as a whole; the largest single group was South Asian at 13.3%. 67.8% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 2.5% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 32.7% of the population, compared with 45.1% citywide. Median household income before tax was $166,000 in 2020, compared with $199,000 for the Greater Toronto Area. 10.4% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 2.16 km², giving a population density of 1,360 people per square kilometre (the Greater Toronto Area averages about 920).
