Scarborough–Rouge Park (south-southwest) is a neighbourhood of Toronto, in the Greater Toronto Area. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 5,865 living in private households. 76.0% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 55.2% across the Greater Toronto Area as a whole; the largest single group was South Asian at 34.3%. 22.8% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.2% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 53.4% of the population, compared with 45.1% citywide. Median household income before tax was $89,000 in 2020, compared with $199,000 for the Greater Toronto Area. 33.2% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 2.92 km², giving a population density of 2,011 people per square kilometre (the Greater Toronto Area averages about 920).
