Purpleville (north) is a neighbourhood of Vaughan, in the Greater Toronto Area. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 15,154 living in private households. 53.5% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 55.2% across the Greater Toronto Area as a whole; the largest single group was South Asian at 17.5%. 46.4% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 0.1% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 41.9% of the population, compared with 45.1% citywide. Median household income before tax was $142,000 in 2020, compared with $199,000 for the Greater Toronto Area. 8.4% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 6.48 km², giving a population density of 2,337 people per square kilometre (the Greater Toronto Area averages about 920).
