Pickering Village (south-southwest) is a neighbourhood of Ajax, in the Greater Toronto Area. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 3,011 living in private households. 64.0% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 55.2% across the Greater Toronto Area as a whole; the largest single group was Black at 21.4%. 35.2% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.1% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 40.7% of the population, compared with 45.1% citywide. Median household income before tax was $123,000 in 2020, compared with $199,000 for the Greater Toronto Area. 11.1% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.76 km², giving a population density of 3,939 people per square kilometre (the Greater Toronto Area averages about 920).
