Eglinton–Lawrence (south) is a neighbourhood of Toronto, in the Greater Toronto Area. At the 2021 Census of Canada it had a population of 5,745 living in private households. 42.6% of residents identified as members of a racialized (visible minority) group, against 55.2% across the Greater Toronto Area as a whole; the largest single group was Filipino at 13.0%. 55.5% were Caucasian (not a visible minority, excluding Indigenous identity), and 1.8% reported Indigenous identity. Immigrants made up 39.4% of the population, compared with 45.1% citywide. Median household income before tax was $70,000 in 2020, compared with $199,000 for the Greater Toronto Area. 81.4% of households rented rather than owned. The neighbourhood covers 0.60 km², giving a population density of 9,529 people per square kilometre (the Greater Toronto Area averages about 920).
